TOP Search Ranking Factors

Google's 200 Position Factors: The Complete List

You Probably know that Google uses about 200 rank factors in their algorithm...
But What the heck are they?
Well Today you are in for a treat since I've put together a complete list.
Some are proven.
Some Are contentious.
Others are SEO nerd speculation.

Quality Of Internal Links Pointing to Page:

Internal Links from pages that are authoritative on domain have a more powerful impact than pages without a low PR.

Affiliate Links:

Affiliate Links themselves likely will not hurt your rankings. But if you have too many, Google's algorithm may pay closer attention to other superior signs to be certain you're not a "thin affiliate website".

Page's PageRank:

Perhaps not Perfectly correlated. But generally higher PR pages are inclined to rank better than low PR pages.

Useful Content:

As Pointed out by Backlinko reader Jared Carrizales, Google may differentiate between "quality" and "useful" content.

Domain Registration duration:

A Google patent says:
"Valuable (legitimate) domains are often paid for several years beforehand, while doorway (illegitimate) domains rarely are used for more than a year. Hence, the date when a domain expires in the future can be used as a factor in predicting the legitimacy of a domain".
